 Designed with safety in mind; if the line and load wires are miswired, there is no power to the face of the outlet or downstream, and the unit will not be able to reset

 Superior surge protection: 50 joules/250V over voltage capability, and resistant to nuisance tripping
Test Procedure: With the receptacle properly wired, press the test button. If the GFCI circuit is functional, the LED light will be OFF and the reset button will pop out. Press the reset button to re-energize. If the GFCI circuit is NOT functional, the LED light flashes red and the reset button does not pop out, indicating the receptacle should be replaced.
