Kent Automotive's OEM approved or recommended products carry the endorsement of specific original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Ford or General Motors. To earn an approved or recommended status, the OEM tests the product and confirms that it meets the OEM’s specifications.
OEM Approved
Identifies Kent Automotive products that are considered OEM Approved. These products have been tested by an OEM manufacturer or laboratory and meet certain requirements. OEM Approved products can be used for off-line repairs at the manufacturer’s assembly plants. OEM Approved carries a higher standard than OEM Recommended.
OEM Recommended
Identifies Kent Automotive products that are considered OEM recommended. These are products that appear in Service Bulletins issued by the various auto manufacturers.
These products are generally tested and recommended by the OEM because they meet a quality or performance standard required for the repair.
