Usage Procedure Clean joint area, removing scale, oil, grease or paint. Solder is self-fluxing. Heat indirectly with any method, such as a blow torch, soldering iron, oxy-acetylene torch or propane torch. Apply solder to the joint area and heat until the alloy flows completely through the joint. Flux residue may be removed in hot water.
