All materials, seals, and plating conform to FDA standards and can come in contact with food.Made of nickel-plated brass and fitted with a FKM ”O“ ring protected by a washer, LF3600 forged fittings may be used with all liquid and gaseous fluids compatible with these components, materials and temperatures up to 250° F (depending on the tube material). For applications where the fitting is exposed to aggressive environments. Legris uses high phosphorous electroless nickel-plating for the LF3600 fitting range. The electroless nickel-plating has a dull, flat finish. It adheres to more of the surface, such as in the root of the threads and grooves of the collet.
