• Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN) coating improves heat resistance and reduces wear to the cutting edges; outperforms Titanium Nitride (TiN) coatings
• Three-flute design removes chips effectively
• Three flats are ground on the shanks (size 1/4" and greater) to reduce the chances of slippage and breaking
• No cutting fluids are needed for Cobra™ Drill Bits
• For use on heat-treated, hardened material up to Rc 65
• Recommended for drill press operation only
NOTE: Cobra™ Drill Bits should be run at higher speeds than standard high-speed steel twist drills. It is also recommended that a woodpeckering technique be used to prevent chips from clogging in the flutes.
