Type 400 Mushroom Lock has a dense stem pattern of approximately 400 stems per square inch. When mated to Type 170, it forms the most universal fastener system in the reclosable fastener family. Type 400 may also be mated to itself when higher-than-normal fastening strength is needed. It is suggested that the 400/400 combination be tested for suitability for particular applications before use.Type 170 Mushroom Lock has approximately 170 stems per square inch. It is designed to mate to Type 400. Type 170 will also mate with the loop side of Hook and Loop. This 170/Loop combination provides an exceptionally high-strength fastener with limited number of openings and closings – 20 to 50. The Type 170/Loop combination should be tested for suitability for each application before using.
