For applications where the fitting is exposed to aggressive environments. Legris uses high phosphorous electroless nickel-plating for the LF3600 fitting range. The electroless nickel-plating has a dull, flat finish. It adheres to more of the surface, such as in the root of the threads and grooves of the collet.
