This exothermic torch system operates on oxygen alone. The rod is ignited by a spark from a battery or welder. The oxygen reacts with the fuel rods to create a burning reaction hot enough to burn through almost any material. The oxygen jet then blows the molten material away. It will blast through steel, alloy steel, cast iron, manganese, hardfacing, stainless, aluminum, steel-reinforced concrete, composites, refractory brick and even rock.
