• Quickly adjustable to any thread diameter and pitch within the size range indicated on tool
• The blade, made of Rc 62 high-speed steel, is guided by the existing undamaged thread to regroove the damaged section
• All tools come supplied with standard blades
• An advantage over taps is the ability to enter below the first damaged grooves – often at the start of the thread – and work in an outward direction
Applicable to most kinds of thread – inch, metric, right hand, left hand, fine or coarse.
Recommended for large internal threads in:
• Oil and gas production and pipelines
• Mining industry
• Large truck and heavy soil moving equipment
• Large production machinery
Turn knurled knob to fully retract the blade into the housing. Insert tool into the threaded hole or bore to be repaired. Turn knurled knob to extend blade into a thread groove on an undamaged section and tighten by hand only. Rotate tool by the cross-rod in the desired direction.
CAUTION: Any cutting tool may break or shatter under improper use. Government regulations require use of safety glasses and other appropriate safety equipment at all times in the vicinity of use.
