Steelmax® Annular Cutters reduce horsepower and torque requirements by only cutting the periphery of the hole resulting in a burr-free, reamed-quality hole. As a result, the operation is completed three times faster than costly pilot hole and step drilling. Chip load per tooth is greatly reduced, for high penetration, improved hole quality and longer tool life. The core or “slug” left behind is evidence of this efficient cutting method. Holes on curved surfaces as well as interrupted cuts can be made without distortion.
